The Starving Spoon:
What I'm cooking, eating and recommending
(food blog... coming soon!)
I've been cooking as a passion since I was barely old enough to safely reach the back-burner of our family stove. It began as something I enjoyed doing, but then grew into something that fascinated me completely. Cooking combines so many of the elements in life that I value, like sharing, creating, taking risks and making people happy.
I'm generally booked for 2-3 private cooking engagements a year, which is more than enough, considering this is just something I have fun doing. I've been a guest chef at a downtown restaurant for a Fri-Sat weekend where we served a custom 4-course dinner to approximately 85 people. I've also written and cooked nearly a dozen multi-course tasting menus for clients, friends and parents of friends.
I love the process of making a new menu that blends what people think they want with a few twisting surprises that still fall within the original guidelines and goals, but also make the experience a lot of fun.
My upcoming food blog will focus on the food I've recently prepared, any upcoming culinary events that I'm cooking at and the things I really enjoy eating and recommend that you may enjoy as well.
The Starving Spoon will be located at www.starvingspoon.com (which currently is a whole lotta nothin', so no need to waste your time clicking, although now that I've said that, I'm sure a few people will try!). I'm working diligently to have it go live by July 1st, 2014.
