NOTE FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER -

I spent my childhood in Seoul, South Korea before my family moved to the United States for my father's work.  We settled in Madison, Wisconsin where I was injected into the public school system as a nervous fifth-grader.  After high school, I headed out west to Tempe, Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the W. P. Carey School of Business.

While in college, I worked in restaurants and bars, using the income to finance not only my dining-out tendencies, but also three eye-opening excursions to Europe.  I've now traveled to Paris, Monaco, Nice, Cannes, Interlaken, London, Dublin, Prague, Berlin, Budapest and Amsterdam and I'm currently planning a trip to the Mediterranean "horseshoe" of Spain, France and Italy.  I absolutely love meeting new people and experiencing different cultures!

After working for a real estate broker, a technical document publishing company and a software consulting firm, an unexpected twist of fate led me to the 111 Mina Gallery in San Francisco.  Earlier that same day, I'd photographed a local model in Golden Gate Park, and afterwards over some smoky, dry-rubbed spareribs in a small Haight Street BBQ joint, she suggested we attend a galley debut by a photographer named Norma Cordova.

The show was spectacular and helped me realize what I wanted to do with my life.  I left my day-job the following week and have never looked back.

It's a thrill to do this for a career and I look forward to meeting you.

Take care,
